hyatt regency st. louis at the arch wins energy efficiency award
Hotel’s carbon footprint savings equivalent to removing 139 vehicles from roads for 1 year
St. Louis, April 19, 2010 – The Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch has received nearly $60,000 through Laclede Gas rebate and AmerenUE incentive programs. The awards were made following the hotel’s $63 million renovation, which included the installation of a state-ofthe-art heating and cooling system that manages energy usage throughout the building.
“Being smart about energy usage just makes good business sense, especially when dealing with a building as large as ours,” said Brian Morris, director of sales for the Hyatt. “We noticed immediate energy cost savings after installing our new system and have seen even more benefit because of the AmerenUE and Laclede Gas programs.”
